What it involves
Network operators and transmission owners run large asset bases with continuous programmes of construction, refurbishment and maintenance across substations, overhead lines and cable routes. Much of that work is delivered by Tier 1 contractors and their supply chains, so the same site can involve several parties, each with duties under CDM 2015. Our own background is hands-on transmission and distribution work, so our advice reflects how network sites are actually built and operated, not just what the regulations say.
